I'm using a turkey baster to paint the yarn with the kool-aid. After a few slops, I learned to tilt the baster upside down as I took it out of the bowl, and to tilt it back slowly as put the kool-aid on. Otherwise you end up with splashes and dots, like the purple ones on the lower green stripe.

Hey, tanks! It's fairly easy, and lots of fun. Highly recommended. The first hank is becoming a purse as we speak.
