Hi Angela and Eca! Nice to see people commenting :D Ang, I got the birthday presents in the mail the other day, and I e-mailed you about it! I just wanted to acknowledge it here too because they were....knitting books! Yep, now I'm the proud owner of "Mason-Dixon Knitting" and "Stephanie-Pearl McPhee Casts Off!"

And Eca, I finished the Hermione chart! Here it is for everyone - but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if anyone uses it, let me know how it goes and give me props yo! LOL I'm just kidding. This chart did take me hours and hours to work out though, and I'm still not sure how accurate it is.

Hi all, this is just a quick post for now. Trying to spend every last waking moment with Sean before he goes back to school. First of all I put it on comment moderation so that I can eliminate anonymous and all the other evil posters who have been making posting on this blog frustrating. From now on, I'm just ignoring them!

Christmas was pretty good, although I'm still working on finishing presents for 4 people (darned stomach flu). I some cute jammies, money, LUSH, and a sock kit from Angela I love! It's the Chocolate Covered Cherries socks, but as Angela "wasn't sold on the idea" they're candy cane socks instead. Red beads and white wool, with a little hint of variegated red underneath the beaded cuff. Although Ang, I mean to ask, did you mean for the white to be the main body of the sock, or the red yarn? I figured white since you strung the beads on white, but wasn't sure :D

Today is major house cleaning, tomorrow is Sean leaving :( and Jenny keeping me company :D and Thursday/Friday Night/Saturday is WIUGC, Western Inter-University Geology Conference. So at least I can keep myself busy.

J is for...

Jenny! My wonderful friend Jenny. We met at SJR (my high school for Grade 11 and 12) in the infirmary, where we bonded over our mutual health-misfortunes. In Grade 12 we had lots of fun by meeting on Saturdays and window-shopping at St. Vital, then going back to her place and making fun meals (mmmmmm....asparagus cream soup and indian potato-cheese omlettes) and watching TV until her parents came home and gave me a ride back to the school. We still get together at least once a year, doing fun things like sliding and shopping and swimming. She's one of my trifecta of best friends (hee hee, trifecta) and I miss her since she's moved to Toronto for university.

E is for...

Elizabeth. I met Elizabeth through my ex-boyfriend, who was friends with him in highschool. This relationship has lasted much longer than the former. Elizabeth is another friend who knits, and I helped her figure out how to sew her afghan together. She was very brave and chose to move to Prague this year to teach ESL, and suffered through some strong homesickness before finding her place. In fact, she's so happy there now she hardly ever updates her blog anymore ;) Elizabeth is a great friend to talk about religion, school, or relationships with. She's going on, hopefully, to grad school where she wants to get her Speech Path degree (at least, I'm pretty sure that's what she's after).

Yay Elizabeth!

A is for...

My first alphabet post! There'll be two today, since this is technically the third week of January and I should be on B.

The person I think of with "A". These are the beautiful skeins of wool Angela helped me dye when she was here this summer. On the left we have a very thick wool that will become felted mittens (hey I should start those up!) and on the right self-striping watermelon socks.

The lady of the hour.

Edit: I also think of Anton! My little cousin. Blogger won't let me add a picture in edit, so go here.
