Allergy Eyes (I hope)

Man, I HATE allergies. Because in June-July, whenever I wear my contacts for more than 4 hours my eyes look like this:

Yeah. It's really gross, and it really hurts. If I accidentally leave them in for a decent amount of time they get REALLY hideous, in fact when it first started happening (Summer of 2002) I finally went in to the ER to get it treated - the Dr. took one look at it, and stepped back saying "EW!".

It's never good when the Dr. says "Ew!".

I use Tears II a few times a day, first thing in the morning and before I go to bed. I also tried the new Claritin eye drops and they work well too, but you have to be careful not to over use those.

When I was six, I started having hay fever... and that was the reason I never bothered wearing contact lenses because the eye drops would have required to take out the lenses for about 15 minutes for me to use the eye drops. I take tablets against hay fever now, but I got used to wearing glasses. Plus, now I have an eye disease (which has nothing to do with the hay fever) where I might have to take eye drops that would require me to take out contact lenses... so I still don't bother.
A friend of mine used to wear his glasses during hay fever season only. Throughout the rest of the year, he wore his contacts.
